A Little History Just a little bit about me.
I am of Scottish, Norwegian, Danish and German decent. (click on flags for country info) My family came to America in the 1880's. My parents grew up in Iowa and after my sister and brother were born they moved to Los Angeles. I grew up near the big cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco. I never really felt at home in the big city though and in 1992, just after I moved back to California from Maui, I drove up to the North Coast town of Fortuna, in Humboldt County, to visit my sister I just never went back! I fell in love with the majestic Redwood trees and coastal mists. I just couldn't convince myself of any good reason to return to the city. As you can see by the middle picture I used to visit this area with my parents in that '54 caddy. NOTE: I've recently begun moving to the Sacramento area as I've found a nice sized town near there with much better weather! Site changes will be coming really soon now as soon as we are settled in!
Ellin and I were visiting with Hobart Brown in his home in Ferndale, California one day when he leaned over and asked, "Have you noticed that your face changes daily?" I giggled and told him that I had. I recently found a graduation card from my Aunt Marjorie that said the same thing. So I thought just for the fun of it - I'd post some of the pictures of the "Many Faces of Me". As soon as time allows I will replace some with pictures from much over the years. OK - that is enough of that! Look below for some links to some websites from the area where I live and to those people in my life that have had an influence on me. Also a word to those that have helped this project of mine come to life!
Thank you for looking at my site! Please come back again soon as I am adding and changing things almost daily. It has been interesting to watch this site change. It is so different now and hard to believe that it started out in November of 2005 as just a one page site which I threw together in order to put some of my photographic art on the net as a part of my portfolio. More amazing still is that I knew nothing about building a site and even less about computers other than how to turn it on. During this journey I have learned so much about computers and all the amazing things that can be done with them. I love the power of knowledge and collaborative thinking. I started out building this alone but I didn't remain alone in this endeavor for long! I thank all the friends who live in my computer for helping me along the way. Your help has been invaluable! Who would have thought that a silly little Internet game would have brought some of the most amazing people into my life. I thank God every day for bringing us together! YOU ROCK!
