You can also do it the free and well to be honest: plain, long & time consuming way by reading the "how-to" below! |
| HOW TO take Screenshots Using the Microsoft Windows Paint Program (which just happens to be on most operating systems) OK, so you have something on your screen that you want to take a picture of... Great! Oh, and before I go any further I would like to say thank you so Chris from the forum of PB20 Couronne Deluxe. He posted instructions in that forum and I came across them one day and was able to learn how to take screenshots myself through them. I never met Chris in the Forum or on the playing table but I thank him for taking the time to type out his instructions to us all. There is also a neat Widget for the Yahoo Widget Engine On your keyboard there is a button that says Prt Scn (usually it's on the top row of buttons all the way to the right... Above the insert key) Press it once... Now the fun begins! Click in order the following... START ALL PROGRAMS ACCESSORIES PAINT Now paint should be open. See the left side of the screen... There should be two rows of option buttons click the square one (top right column) now go the section that you want to save (unless you are wanting to save the whole picture in which case you do not crop anything - just save it as a JPG) position your mouse pointer at the top left of what you want to crop out click and hold left mouse button frame up the section you want and drag the mouse around till you get the area covered that you want if you mess up just let go of mouse button and hit that square button again to restart your cropping OK - now - got the section you want marked????? Cool - click the right mouse button click..... CROP OMG the picture disappeared Good - that is supposed to happen - All down hill now! Click on FILE NEW & then NO (trust me) OMG the picture disappeared again! Right click your mouse on the blank page and then right click the mouse and select PASTE there it is now choose FILE SAVE AS and be sure to select .JPG as your file type Select your folder location and name the file and hit ENTER you are done! YAY You did it!!! OK - let me know if i messed any of this up sometimes there are glitches and i can help you out with those Example: at times it won't let you save in .JPG format so just save it the way it wants you too then go into your picture files and rename it. You have to be smarter than the machine sometimes. Sometimes it won't let me open the file in my HP Image Zone but it will open in the windows picture viewer so then i screenshot it again LOL just gotta try different stuff sometimes ya know!
